Mill Lane Arts Week

Chris has been invited to take part in Cardiff’s first Mill Lane Arts Week.

Imagine Mill Lane buzzing with artists painting at their easels, chatting to passers-by eager to see their creative work take shape.  A stage outside the library, with a variety of performances including music, song, dance, theatre and storytelling.

It’s time to turn the original Cafe Quarter, into the most impressive Cafe Quarter in the UK, through art. We have lots of events planned throughout the week including:

Artists painting at easels in our ‘Montmartre’ zone in the main pedestrian area of the cafe quarter.  Photos of the event to follow.

Chris will paint live scenes of Cardiff and the Hayes, with attention of our sponsor, Giovanni. #WelshArt

However, Arts Week is not just about watching artist’s create it’s about getting involved too! There will be an opportunity for the public to make their mark on canvas and create an abstract piece of art- our People’s Painting. We will then auction this piece off for our chosen charity which is Children in Need.
