Road to Dunster Beach
Dunster Beach is a private site comprising of 230 chalets. They are all owned by families and individuals, many who have a long standing history with the beach as the chalets have been passed down from one generation to the next. The car park and main site are privately owned by Dunster Beach Holidays Ltd.
The site is managed with care and attention to the conservation of the area. From 2017-2021 Dunster Beach Holidays has spent in excess of £100,000 on bolstering the sea defences, in order to preserve this wonderful piece of coastline.
My painting is an imagined experience of travelling to the seaside of Dunster beach- the first glimpse of the sea! The golden road tales us into the painting to a lone cottage. Then onward past Dunster Castle on the hill, to the sea beyond. A painting featuring lots of fine detail, you’ll be looking at this work and discovering something new every day!
